Projects and Programs

Our program – Important Areas for Bird Conservation in Brazil – aims to identify, manage, monitor, restore and protect areas that require priority for the conservation of threatened or endemic species.

The program develops actions to preserve and restore connectivity between forest fragments through biological corridors and implements actions and strategies to create, expand and connect protected areas.

The program is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team and executed in partnership with stakeholders including; landowners, local community members, scientific and technological community and public and private sector.

Our project – Birds of Brazil – aims to promote awareness of the fragility of ecosystems and the importance of conserving birds and their habitats. The project promotes events, workshops, photographic exhibitions, field trips, itineraries and expeditions to carry out bird watching.
